A New Way to Learn Chinese Characters
World's first Mandarin word-reveal app. Chinese characters are broken down to their simple repeating components and radicals. These are revealed one after another, challenging players to choose the correct English translation. The faster you recognise the word the better your fluency and global ranking.
Mandarin Word Challenge Modes
Version 1.01 (16.01.2017)
3 game modes:
- Word Challenge Mode, where players strive to maximise the number of words that can be played in a row, with a wrong answer ending the game.
- Time Trial Mode challenges the player to work against the clock to pick as many correct answers as they can, with bonus time for correct answers and a time penalty for wrong answers.
- Word Challenge and Time Trial are used to calculate your fluency score and global ranking.
- Practice Mode can be used to improve game play at your own pace.

WenHu word packs are available for 4 types of study sessions:
1. Radicals that confer a meaning to the word (semantic components), for example, the water radical 水，氵
2. Phonetic Components that give a clue to the pronunciation, for example, "fang" 方，房，放
3. Basic Concepts, for example, basic characters, Measure Words, numbers (coming soon), and signs (coming soon)
4. Topics, for example, "Family and Friends", "Time and Day"

WenHu provides detailed statistics.
Fluency rating and achievements are displayed for each word pack as well as the player’s overall success. A list of correctly answered words can be displayed showing the Mandarin characters, pinyin and English translation.
